EducationPrinceton University - BA, Neuroscience
ExperienceI am a neuroscience major in my junior year at Princeton University. Since my freshman year of high school, I have been tutoring others, and in my freshman year of college I also tutored students at Princeton High School. For two years I taught classes in SAT math for the Let's Get Ready Program. I am a great resource for SAT and ACT prep. Most of my tutoring experience has been with high school students, but I am available to work with students at all levels who are looking to improve academically. My favorite subject is math, and I tutor all levels, up to and including Calculus AB. I'm also good with Biology, Chemistry, and many other subjects. As a tutor I use an individualized approach, to build the tutee's intuition for and skill with the material, as opposed to simple rote memorization. I believe patience is an asset, and I like to create a positive learning space, posing problems in different ways to help fire the tutee's imagination and help new concepts sink in. When I'm not working or studying, I like to work in the medium of sculpture. I also like to travel and visit my family. I'm an avid reader, and like to learn new languages.
HobbiesSculpting, backpacking, reading, going to the beach, spending time with family, learning about other cultures and languages
