B.S. in Biochemistry from University of California, Santa Barbara. Graduated in June of 2015 with a GPA of 3.95, Highest Honors distinction and member of the Honors Program from the College of Letters and Science, and recipient of the Phi Lambda Upsilon National Honors award from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Experience
Received a score of 40 (99.6-99.8th percentile) on the 2014-2015 MCAT exam. I have experience with a year of general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and thermodynamics/physical chemistry. I have also taken courses in molecular genetics, human physiology, biomaterials, (bio)inorganic chemistry, mathematics, and physics at UCSB. Also, my time spent at UCSB involved working in two leading research labs under the supervision of Prof. Glenn Fredrickson and Prof. Herbert Waite over the past two years. I'd like to share what I've learned throughout my coursework and scientific experiences in college to help aspiring students conquer the challenging and time consuming MCAT exam, as well as share my understanding of chemistry, biochemistry, and biology with those interested in the physical and life sciences.

Hobbies
One of my main hobbies over the years has been playing guitar. Inspired by my father's musical passion, I picked up the instrument during my teenage years and taught myself to play many familiar, fun songs. Recently, this hobbie has served as a great stress-relief mechanism and way to clear my mind. I hope in the future to combine this interest with digital music production and make some awesome tracks! As a kid growing up in the Orange County area, I certainly gained my ties to local sports teams and love to sit back and watch a good game of baseball or basketball (Go Lakers and Dodgers!). Fortunately throughout my years at UCSB I had a good amount of time to travel and explore the outdoors; through multiple camping and backpacking trips to Yosemite and nearby hikes in the Santa Barbara hills, I've gained previously unknown love for the outdoors and exploring nature. As I carry on in my post-grad years, I hope to carry on these hobbies and interests and keep on enjoying life outside the sciences!
